Experience, Training and Expertise:

Donna has worked in various medical settings, as part of a treatment team and independently through private practice and in church settings. She worked in military treatment facilities where she specialized in golden year assessments, community outreach, individual, family and couple's counseling. She worked with high risk patients warranting in-depth clinical assessments to treat various mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, adjustment challenges, and various layers of trauma to name a few. She also dedicated her time in providing holistic multidimensional care that expands to the patient or client's family, environment, and other factors essential to their recovery.  An example of this is her proactiveness in studying and practicing auricular acupuncture with her patients due to the benefits determined to enhance talk therapy. Donna uses an array of tools including prayer, mindfulness, guided imagery and host of resources to enhance your therapeutic journey.

Donna’s areas of interest promote the process of growth through life’s most difficult adjustments by encouraging confidence in self-awareness. It is her passion that her patients use their insight and awareness to embrace life in a more relaxed and confident manner as they see their truest potential and the gift of being whom they were designed to truly be. The coronavirus pandemic proved challenging to the world and her work with her patients was a place where they experienced comfort, healing and relief through the self discovery finding their inner strength just waiting to be ignited.

Her background includes working with a wide range of clientele from infancy stages of life to the golden years stages of life; from new beginnings to end of life circumstances. She has had the privilege of being trained in medical (in administrative roles, internal medicine clinics, cancer care clinics), corporate and health system's employee assistance programs (EAP), substance abuse programs, inpatient psychiatry and in private practice which all combined have truly enhanced her clinical experiences with vast encounters. 

Having faced many circumstances and hurdles in life she incorporates her experience, knowledge, spiritual faith to connect with her diverse clientele. Her insights and support combined with her client’s hard work and determination have led multitudes to experience a better self awareness and life experience.
